Sources of Funding
The day to day operation of Tullow Day Care Centre is costly and our Centre could not operate without financial support from a number of sources both statutory and voluntary.

Training and Employment Agency
Many of our staff are drawn from the FAS Community Employment Initiative.

A large portion of the capital cost of the building, refurbishing and extending the Centre was grant aided by the Department of Health and Children and the South East Health Board.

The South Eastern Health Board helps in part funding day to day operation of the Centre. In conjunction with the National Lottery they have helped with the funding for the occupational therapy room equipment and transport.

People in Need
People in Need hold a national twenty four hour Telethon fund raising every two years. The Centre participates in the event and on a number of occasions has benefited from grants awarded by people in need towards providing transport and bathing facilities.

In the year 2000 the Centre was awarded a Millennium Award Grant from the Department of the Taoiseach administered by Area Development Management (ADM). The grant totally funded our newest wheel-chair accessible bus.

Department of Social, Community and Family Affairs
Equipment in the Training Room was funded by the Department through the National Lottery.

Much of the external landscaping and plants were provided from Environmental grants from Carlow County Council.
